Oh, hummus. How we love you. As a dip, spread, topping, or just straight up a by-the-spoonful snack – it’s all hummus, all the time. Even our kids love hummus. I should rephrase that – even our 2-year-old loves hummus! And she’s in this phase of liking nothing but cookies, so hummus is a big win these days. Especially our Healthy Whipped Garlic Hummus!

This Whipped Hummus is garlicky, lemony, smooth, and creamy. But what makes it different than other hummus’s I’ve made before, is how LIGHT it is. That’s why we called this one a “Whipped” hummus. It was just the most accurate description we could come up with.

We kept the oil ratio down and filled in the gaps with lemon juice and water to still give it a smooth and creamy texture. But keeping the added olive oil to a minimum, left us with this amazing overall texture that’s lighter and fluffier than any hummus we’ve had before. And, keeping the oil low, means a healthier overall dip at the end.

We love to sprinkle a bit of paprika on top for serving – a classic. But we’re paprika obsessed around here. A drizzle of olive oil is delicious but completely optional.
